Bear in a Bauble

I stopped into to Michaels Craft store after work today and got some good Black Friday deals :) I picked up this plastic bauble for 50c as I wanted to try making a Christmas tree decoration with it using my stamps.  It comes in 2 halves so all you need to do is insert you image and close it over and add some ribbon super easy :) It just so happened this little bear fit perfect into the ornament you can find here at Unity . I had already coloured lots of them earlier this week. So all did was draw around the bauble to get the size and cut it out a just a wee bit smaller so it would fit inside. It turned out better than I thought it would. So I am going to make a bunch more and personalize them with names of the people who will be receiving them for Christmas.                How cute does he look I am sure he will look great hanging from the Christmas Tree :)  Here is another one I made using the A friend loveth Stamp set from Unity. I stamped 2 large butterflies I cove

Misty Meadow

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving :) I have been playing around my my Donna Downey stamps this last past week. I LOVE them there is so much you can do with them I wish I had got this set sooner :)  Here is one the cards I created using 2 different embossing powders. I like the kind of  misty look that was left behind using them. I  love using embossing powders especially the metallic ones as they really make the images pop. ~Supplies ~ Unity Stamp Company - Heartfelt Sentiments Unity Stamp Company - Insightful Meadows Copper Pigment Ink Copper Embossing Powder White Embossing Powder Colorbox blue pigment ink VersaMark Ink This is my FWF Entry over at Unity Blogspot Also entered at Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Thanks for visiting :)

Have A Beer

I took a break from Christmas cards and made some other ones today. I don't make nearly enough cards for men so this is a good one to add to the collection.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company - Keep Calm, Have a Beer.  I made the frothy foam by mixing clear Stickles glitter glue and white embossing power together then heat setting it. The paper is from the Colorbok - Natural Expressions Paper Stack. Thanks for visiting :)

Little Bear

I have been working on lots of cards for my upcoming craft fair. I love this little bear I made him into a Birthday bear as well as the Christmas one that he came as :)  Why just have him around for Christmas when you can have him out all year long right?  You can find him here over at Unity Stamp Company .  The Birthday sentiment is also a unity stamp you can find that here . I used Darice embossing folders to create the backgrounds and the coloured card is from Bazzill. Thanks for visiting :)

Let there be light

Happy Friday Friends I hope you all had a wonderful week :) I have wanted to make vellum luminaries for such a long time. Since it was wet and gloomy out today I decided it was the perfect day to to make them and cosy up my house.  I found a great deal on vellum at the craft store a few weeks ago so I bought some just for this project. I inked up my new stamp set I have not yet got around to using it's called Insightful Meadows you can find it here at Unity it is such a pretty stamp set.  It was on my wish list for a long time and I finally treated myself to it :)  This is a super easy project all you need to do is stamp your image on to the vellum with VersaMark ink. Then cover it with white embossing powder and heat set it that is it - easy right?  You can either adhere it to a candle or glass wear or just leave it loose which I did. I glued the ends together making a circle using fabric glue that dries clear. I placed it over a tea light that was in a clear glass ho

Santa Paws

Happy Monday everyone :) I have been busy trying to clean out my crafting area and found a few of these mini Santa hats laying around. I was not sure what to do with them so I came up with this cute idea of a dog wearing a Santa hat :) The dog stamp is from one of my Unity stamps sets and it fit perfectly. I love all of the stamps from the Phyllis Harris collection at Unity if you don't own any you must get some they are amazing :)  The background was made from themed papers. I stamped and colored the dog using alcohol markers I fussy cut him out and adhered to the background. I glued the hat on and added some ribbon to make a collar. I stamped the sentiment in a deep red ink and placed it at the top to finish it off. ~Supplies~ Unity Stamp Company - Brandy & Emma Forever Friends Unity Stamp Company - Christmas Blessings DCWV - Snow Paper Paper Studio - White Glitter Card Spectrum Noir Markers Red Skinny Ribbon Rhinestones Mini Santa Hats Mement

Twinkle Twinkle

This is such a quick and easy card to make. I stamped the image and the sentiment on to a white card base. I coloured the stars yellow and added clear glitter glue to make it sparkle. I finished it off with 2 rhinestones that were coloured to match the stars :) I love that it is such a clean and simple card.  I am entering this in to Friends with Flair over at the  Unity Blog :)  Thanks so much for visiting my blog :) ~ Supplies ~   White Card  Memento tuxedo Black Ink Clear Glitter Glue Rhinestones Spectrum Noir Yellows Unity Stamp Company - Twinkle Twinkle Stamp

Bookmarks

I have been busy this week making lots of things for my December craft fair. I love these bookmarks I only started making them after trying to find one with a butterfly and could not find one anywhere.  I love books I feel like I am the only person on the planet that has not yet went digital with my reading. I like to have the book in my hand and flick through the pages. There is nothing I love more than a hot cup of tea and good book especially Christmas novels :)

Lest We Forget

I made this card for Remembrance Day also known as Armistice or Poppy Day. In case you did not know Scotland and other commonwealth countries around the world lay poppy wreaths at memorials on November 11th.  We also wear poppy pins as a sign of remembrance for those who died in the line of duty. The symbol of the poppy came from a poem called Flanders Fields. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company called Wishing you Joy it is such a pretty flower stamp. I sponged the background with Memento inks I used Bamboo Leaves   for the grass and  Danube Blue mixed with White ColorBox pigment ink to make the sky. I coloured the flowers with a Copic  Cardmium Red marker I printed the sentiment from my computer. Thanks for Visiting :)  I am entering this card into the Unity Be Inspired Challenge

Winter Meadow

I have been wanting to make a winter flower scene for a while so I finally got around to it. I love trying new techniques and I really enjoyed playing around with this one.  I sponged the background then used an script stamp as additional background. I stamped several different flowers from different Unity stamp sets and heat embossed them with silver and white embossing powder. I cut the card up into 6 sections but I only used 4 as I wanted to make a square card instead of the rectangle I had originally planned.   The butterflies were heat embossed and then cut out and mounted with foam to/ give a 3D effect. I punched 4 tiny butterflies from the punch and added them to finish off the card.  I really love the way it turned out hope you do too :) ~ Supplies Used ~ Hero Arts - Old letter Writing Stamp Unity Stamp Company - Feel the Joy Unity Stamp Company - A Friend Loveth Unity Stamp Company - Angie Girl: Dream with your Heart Unity Stamp Company - The Simple Thin

Thankful

Since November is a month for giving thanks.  I thought I would do just that and make a thankful for you card. I like to try new things with my stamps so I stamped the flowers upside down to give it a different look. Sympathy

It is never really a good time when you have to make a sympathy card. We found out our neighbour lost her mother a few days ago so I wanted to make her a card. I seem to pull out the Butterfly Corner embossing folder a lot for my sympathy cards. I love the detail on it and of course I love the butterflies. I bought mine at my local craft store you can find it online at Darice amongst other places . It was one of the first cards I made when I got into card making.  Here is my original card if you want to take a look :) I have made many other cards using this embossing folder it is so versatile here is another example. You can pretty much do anything you want with it.  I used two different Unity stamps in this  card the sentiment is from the Sympathy and Sadness stamp you can find it at Unity Stamp Company website here . The butterflies are from the A Friend Loveth stamp set you can find that here .  I embossed some lilac card with the folder then mounted it onto a white cardstoc

Make a wish

I have been playing away with my stamps most of this weekend. I now have a giant mess on my craft table but I am having fun with all my creating. I just don't like the cleaning up part. I wish there was a cleaning fairy that took care of that :) I love this wee girl from the  Phyllis Harris collection. This is one of my favourite stamps so adorable you can find it here over at Unity Stamp Company .  I stamped her onto white card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then paper pieced her dress from some paper from DCWV Girlhood Stack and added the same paper as a background to the card. Coloured  with Spectrum Noir markers and added some glitter glue to the wish that she is blowing then heated it with my heat gun to make up a little puffy.                                       Close Up Inside   Thanks for stopping by  :) I am entering this card into the following challenges   Sister Act anything goes challenge.   Simon Says Stamp anything goes challeng

It's the most wonderful time of the year

I have been playing around with my stamps tonight making some Christmas cards I wanted to share this one with you. I really like this stamp I love the sentiment as it is one of my favourite Christmas songs :) I paper pieced the sleigh with green glitter card and coloured the rest with spectrum noir alcohol markers. I used some red glitter card to create a border and mounted it onto a card base. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom and added some small red glitter hearts that I punched from my heart punch.    ~ Supplies Used ~ Unity Stamp Company - Most Wonderful Time Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Red/Green Glitter Card by Paper Studio Spectrum Noir Markers Martha Stewart - Heart Confetti Punch  Thanks for visiting have a great weekend :)
